Latest & Greatest
Yesterday, when I asked my daughter what she wanted for her fifth birthday, she responded, “Hmmm, probably just not to die. Ever.”
Her grandma and grandpa’s dog died this week; it’s led to a bummed out vibe around our house, and death is very much top of mind.
With all of this doom and gloom locally, and of course nationally, I was craving a pick-me-up. Something to bring a little hope.
Happily, my latest RoundTable column went live this week. It’s a totally positive story, featuring Chicago fashion designer Otha Olajuwon, Nichols educator Carla Stone, and comments from many incredible sixth grade students and staff at Nichols Middle School.
Stone put together the most fabulous Black History Month “experience” I’ve witnessed in AGES!
I’d be honored if you read this piece and shared it with community members who may also be interested.
As always, thanks for reading. Stay strong out there. Sending love.
